Want to see how some of you guys are routing your catch cans. Please post pics and any problems you encountered with your particular set up hopefully this thread can help me and others with there projects as well........

Also this is my first post/thread so i apologise if this is the wrong area to post this or if its repetative.

:hellyeah:

I built mine with the VC side pipe plumbed to the bottom of my catch can, and there's shelves in there with a SS lint trap in between the two shelves. I guess it's similar to the pot scrubber thing.

It's a lint trap for a clothes washer drain hose. They sell them in the grocery store.

That's cool im gonna head to good will and go to there pots and pans area see what they for strainers and such i wanna make multiple levels of screens thanks for the ideas

Calan VS2 catch can. When I unboxed it all I could think was perfection. This catch can has absolutely everything a catch can should offer. If you don't have a catch can yet I highly suggest looking into one of these. (AN fittings and cat not included:p)

IMO, the problem with the stock PCV system is the PCV valve itself. It has to close under boost to prevent intake pressure from filling the crank case. But that means under boost, when you likely have the most amount of blow-by, your PCV system's ability to vent pressure has been cut in half. So I simply ran two lines to an eBay catch can (not the best, but sill functions) and one line to a low pressure source right before the turbo. This allows the CC to constantly vent through both valve cover ports. Here's my setup. It might be hard to see, but there's one clear hose running from the can to the metal inlet pipe before the turbo.

Does your catch can have 3 inlets on it?

My current setup. It's technically wrong although it functions properly.

I didn't realize vented catch cans were wrong for DSMs when I ordered it, so I'm running this setup until I get a couple sealed units and check valves to replace it.

Good to know this actually works okay. I am going to be temporally running my car like this just for a little bit. I will be using a sealed can though which seems to be the more correct way to do it.
