Where is a good place to tap oil and water temp gauges? For the water, should I just use the stock sending unit location? Oil temp, maybe from the head or down by the filter? Just would like to know what works best. Thanks. :talon:

The best place is below the thermostat (for the water temp). If you put your sensor after the thermostat, you will only see the temp after the thermostat has opened.

For oil temp, it is best to read near the oil filter bracket to see how hot the oil is coming in or
how hot it is going out, (esp if you have an oil cooler) . That is how we measure oil temp of jet engines. I am sure it is no different from gas turbine engines to piston driven engines.

Oil pressure should also be read in the same area. I put my oil pressures sensor on the outlet line for the oil cooler to the oil filter bracket(special AN adapter fitting) to read how cool the oil is going into the motor. This information was given to me from RRE.
