wondering if cutting and flaring the oil and water feed lines so as to connect a flexible (braided) hose would work, or be advisable. im a cheap ass (im sure many of you understand) and i need to do this quickly, so i dont have time to order the custom AN hoses and fittings from anyone. i just hate those hard lines and they are next to frustrating when trying to bolt a turbo back on.
i was also thinking of running the oil feed line from the oil filter housing and figured i coul cheap my way out of it by using NPT fittings, but then i thought maybe the oil pressure is too high for that and it wouldnt be advisable.

Short cuts are not the way to go, do it right the 1st time. You can order a SS braided oil line just about any DSM vendor out there, the stock water lines are just fine. But do not short cut it. You can pick up the SS braided oil line for next to nothing anymore, like $30.00 or even less.

just my 2cents..

yeah, i was just in a hurry to get out to the beach (spring break) but i didnt short cut it. however, the coolant line that goes from the main water line to the turbo is bent on my car, can i cut that one and connect the two ends together with a flex line? i figured since it isnt under such pressure, i would be alright...
