Ninjai_ruken...ditch the 420a...and get that gsx you always wanted... I knew I always wanted one, but finally did it after so many probs w/ my NT/ turbo. I know you know that you won't be dissapointed w/ one, but just trying to help you speed up the process...

Im keeping the 420A, even if I get the GSX because eveyone is like oh...its just a GS...I dont tell them its built to kill....it was running great untill my brother went and ####ed it all up. But I am making plans to be at the shootout next year. Started saving already

Sounds good man. I wasn't trying to discourage you, b/c I had one too and loved it, unitl I started having problems. That's cool though. I want to make it out this next summer too though. Good luck finding one though man... Hope to see you there then...

Why not do a line lock? Then just use your horn button to hold it and when you are ready just let off. You can set it up so it goes to the front brakes inbetween the master cylinder and prop valve. Then one hand is on the wheel and one is on the shifter.

I`ve tried a line lock on my AWD. I used it basically to keep my car from rolling at the starting line. Later, I discovered I could also load the drivetrain at the line. This was a lot easier on the tranny. I had to quit doing it because it`s hell on the clutch. A 2 disc set up would probably work great. The LL switch also provided another distraction at the strating line.

That's what we did this past summer. There was over 20 of us that met up and rode down as a group and we also met up with another big group along the way somewhere on 23 South. We'll be coming right through Jackson anyway.

We camped at the track this year and it wasn't bad at all...i would definitely do it again. There were people sleeping in their cars but i think a tent with a sleeping bag and a pillow is much better since it gets a lil chilly at night (perfect to keep bugs away and provide great sleep without sweating).

Thats what we've done every year so far, and it the only way to go! People in the motels miss out on alot of the reason for being there. I wont explain, but just trust me. Our tent has enough space for one more I'm sure, so if anyone finds themself without a place to sleep just holla before you head up and we will meet up when we get there and you can have a place to sleep and a fire to sit around with dsmers etc.

Bringing this back to the top, cabin fever is kicking in and its fun to look back at these days when the track still had gravel in the pits, those were the best times!
