Actually there are times that I think that awd is nothing but a waste, and I can say that since I have BOTH.

The multiple disc clutches are hard to launch as they have a tendency to engage like a light switch. By holding the car stil with the e-brake he can find the clutch's engagement point as he lifts, hold it right beneath it, then on the launch he lets go of the e-brake "which is probably spring loaded" and also engages the clutch. This makes for consistent launches.
Jake Lehmkuhl (Evil Eagle) uses the same method on his 9 second street car except he uses the factory e-brake which means he actually has to push the lever back down. If you watch his recent incar videos of it you can see him doing it. Unfortunately in John's "in-car runs" you can't see him shifting or using it.

The E-brake method does work, very easy to do, but I do not recomend it on just a normal ACT clutch. I am using a Quartermaster twin disc clutch. The clutch could care less if you slip the hell out of it on the line using the e-brake method. I preload so hard somtimes that the car want's to pull through the lights and the ass end sinks harder then hell. But it does work and it does save drivetrain parts, To an extent.
man you really get a good idea what of what I look like from that pic.99gst_racer said:Cool beerpong pic, man. (Even though it's just my arm in it. HAHA)
