ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT!!!!!!!

With that being said, I want my 2g to look clean and as fast as it will be, and NOT look like every other 2g. There is tons of clean looking 2gs that just are dropped with a cf hood nice paint and rims, but no offense intended but not to many are rememberable.

As with bodykits imo the vast majority are just too much, too rice or just..really:|.. and i have seen some clean ones out there but its like one in a million.

So Im kinda caught in the middle oem looks good already..aftermart is more original, so i guess im looking for something in the middle..heres what i had in mind..The front bumper from one of the fisrt two, rear add on like from the third, some kind of wide fenders or the f1 isnt too bad, and a simple side skirt like the last pic. Its kinda like oem with body accents style.

So what you guys think?

Also im thinking about going wingless but i dont know i really like the stock high rise ALOT

I like the first bumper and those sides, just keep the stock rear bumper. With those sides I think the high rise would look damn good.

I have the skirts in the picture on the second level there on the right , the red one with the turbo wing. I have those with the middle of the opening by the back fender cut out with steel mesh in there pained black I can get a pic of it tomorrow if oyu want

I like the rear add-on. Coupled with the highrise wing it would make the back of the car look taller and give it a more aggressive stance. You're working with some good ideas.

i like the wide body look, but it's your car...do what you want with it.

Thanks yea if you guys have pics i'd love to see them too!

Yea i like the stock rear too, the add-ons help it flow more a little bit i think

But yea I REALLY like aggressive lookin cars..like chicks with tattoos but too many and they just look kinda butchy (except that chick from LA ink...i would do ungodly things to her!) I want mine to be aggro but still sexy

What do you guys think about fenders/widebody?

don't see many people running the veilside body kit on the eclipse. might have something to do with the price though. mine fits better than the oem bumpers

Veilside makes stuff for eclipse?! pics?!

But that rear add-on is from a mirage, i think, and i think that car is still here on tuners somewhere.

Also does anyone know like the weight differences between the oem parts vs aftermarket? I mean if i can drop weight and look good doing it that would be a win win for me!

imo the Oem front bumper with a nicely made lip, as well as oem rear - with some skirts would look the best

I kinda like the rear spoiler on the fourth picture, the wide body kit. Not crazy about the Supra tail lights or the wide body kit, but would like to see a spoiler like that on a 2g.

supra tail lights on a 2g = bleh

So what you guys think?

I strongly encourage you not to go down the "custom bumper-body kit" road. don't think you can improve on the basic Eclipse lines for its simplistic beauty.

It's getting rare these days to see a truely nice Eclipse around here because they have all been modded out to the point that they are sometimes just plain embarassing. I get compliments constantly on my RS and it's from all kinds of people on the street at stop lights and in parking lots.

No FNF kit parts, no too-low front lips that rip and tear one month later, no OEM side skirts or door caps that look bolted on (they are), no too-tall spoilers (no spoiler would be okay), no CF parts just for the look of CF (if you use CF body parts please paint them to match the car), no decals or sponsor stickers, no funky side mirrors, no billet fuel tank door, etc., etc. I even prefer OEM headlights but since HID kits installed in them produce blinding glare and since you can't put HID projectors in OEM housings without looking like a hack job I went with a tastefully modded (IMO) aftermarket set (no full chrome).

These threads are interesting to read but really, at the end of the day, your ride needs to be the way you are proud to be seen in it, not the way we tell you it shoud look.

If 30 people tell you a certain front bumper is awesome it won't matter if YOU don't think the same.

Body kit = Horrible always. If you want something different. get a lip kit, and throw on some fog lights or something. don't embarrass

Im really not worried about embarassing any one, to each his own, but i am trying to accent no as much remodel

I have the wing off now and its growing on me more each day, i do want something like the little lip on the trunk like on the supra widebody..a guy said he could make it for me in cf like a one piece cf trunk lip, but he has yet to get back to me with more details:mad:

As far as fenders and widening..im trying to think of some ways to use washers and longer bolts at the bottom to pop it out

Also i was thinking bout taking the door cap off at the bottom it seems to make it look kind of widebody-ish:hmm:

I think the first bumper along with the rear from the 3rd pic and F1's would be a nice look. Not too flashy but more of a controlled aggressive look.

Thats another combo i like and have really been thinking about

I am not a huge fan of body kits. I think the reason most ppl dont like them is beacuse they never get finished and you end up seeing the car driving around with 3 different colors and some bondo.... I do admit i have seen some nice eclipse with kits only when they are finsihed and painted and they dont put a ALuminum wing on it....

my car w/ full body kit:

pretty clean, not "wild" or out there, just expands on the body lines of the car. not all body kits are bad.

Nice..it looks pretty clean im not sure how i feel about the molding together, i like the lines, what sides are those and how do they compare to oem (ground clearance, weight, one or two piece)

And i dont think im physically able to put an aluminum it would be a mix of:confused::barf::sosad: haha
