I am trying to use my oem keyless entry but am not sure if it's still in the car. Is it located under the drivers seat?

And when I lock the car I see the green security. Does that mean oem alarm is still in the car?

Thanks

I'm not sure of the modules location but a sure fire way to know if it is there is to do the following..

1. Roll down your driver window
2. Lock your door and close it
3. Wait for green light to go out (if does not come on lock with key and wait)
4. Once light is out for a few seconds reach in and pop your lock and open the door.

If the horn goes off and lights flick you have an alarm and if they don't you, well, don't. You'd be surprised how many cars have that light strictly as theft deterrent and not as an actual indicator for an oem alarm.

I have a red light in my car. It has never worked and never blinks or anything. Only 1 key came with the car.

Is it a led or is it incorporated into the gauge cluster? Chances are its part of an aftermarket alarm that is either there and disabled (unhooked) or is left over from a full removal of an aftermarket alarm. The reason the led light is usually left behind is because it's more visually appealing to see that then a hole where it use to be mounted. How to narrow down which scenario it is? Follow the wire from the led to the module and if there's no wire or its just wrapped up someplace then your mystery is solved. I install remote starter/alarms, mostly compustar, and I have came across that allot.
