I pulled my transmission (90 GST) to replace the synchros, and also put in a new clutch. I had originally ordered an OEM pressure plate and clutch disk, but after finding that we couldn't get an OEM clutch disk ordered an ACT 3000303 performance street sprung disk.
Does anyone know the thickness of a new OEM clutch disk?
Since I'm not using an ACT pressure plate, I wanted to verify that the step height will not be different due to the ACT disk being thicker or thinner than the original.
I asked ACT directly and they said the flywheel step for their full kit is 0.612" and a new compressed disk thickness is 0.310-0.312". They didn't know for sure what the original dsm disk thickness was or whether the pressure plate is the same.
Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated!
