Well .... my Odometer and Spedometer are dead ...

First I tried replacing the cluster, with no luck

Now, I just replaced the speed sensor (tranny) , and again - nothing

I have no idea why both my speedo and odometer are not working ....

anyone experienced this before??

Thanks in advance

Well my odometer and spedometer are dead (all other gauges work perfectly) .... I've done all the searches and read all of the posts on these simultaneous malfunctions, so I did the obvious. First I swaped clusters with a buddy - both gauges still dead. Next I was told it was definately my input speed sensor on my tranny, so first I checked and made sure it was still plugged in. Check, its there. I pulled it off and it looked mighty teathered so I replaced it. Still nothing! Im beginning to think it has to be electrical now, as it cant just be the reed switch in my cluster, and its certainly not the input speed sensor.

Anyone been through this before ?????

Thanks in advance.

Both my spedometer and odometer are not working

I've asked this question before and all I have gotten is "here read these other posts on the topic" ... I have tried both things recomended to me, Namely:

(1) I tried replacing the cluster to see if it was the cluster itself - nope
(2) I replaced the input speed sensor on the tranny - nope

I have also been explained that 2g's dont have cable-like mechanisms but rather electrical ..... at this point im desperate to fix my problem ... can anyone who has had this happen offer some advice??

Thanks in advance for your time,

Wes

The funny part is I've been having the same problem for 3 months now.

I've replaced clusters, and the sensor. Before the sensor I had a code, after the sensor I didn't.

The cluster is electrical, sensors sends a signal to the computer, computer to the cluster.

I'm out of guesses, last thing I can think of replacing is the computer. Hopefully this fixes it but I am highly doubtful, we'll see I guess.

I'll let you know how it goes, if anyone else has advice let me know

Damien
