Need help speedometer/odometer

hey, just got my gsx and i've never used a forum before.. not sure how this work says im a probationary member.. anyway i need help my rpm/gas/boost/coolant temp guages all work fine, but my speedometer/odometer/tachometer do not work.. i have no idea why i bought it that way. i tried pulling the cluster out to see if the wiring was connected to the speedometer and it was.. can anyone help me shed light on the subject?

Check the speed sensor its on the tranny kinda by the rear mount. see if its even connected, i would just pull it out and see if its broken.

ok, i heard someone else tell me to buy a new one of those.. so its near the tranny by the rear engine mount?, ill wait until monday when i go into work.. sounds like i'd have better access from under the chasis?

From the bottom it would be hard. In the picture attached the sensor is by the letter Q its held in by one bolt.
