Odds of a warped block?

I won't lie to you, i didn't search the forum for this question, i didn't have enough time today to check everything out..

Anyways, i bought a motor, and it had a bad head gasket.. I replaced it, and now the car smokes a lot of white smoke. And i feel like the head is warped.. So now my question is, I can buy a brand new machined head for real cheap with recipes and not used yet by my friend..

Should i buy this and a new head gasket / arps and call it a day? You think this will fix my problems??

I don't want to waste anymore money if my block is warped..

Thanks! and NO i am not taking my whole motor our to take it to a machine shop and rip everything out of my block to get it checked.

You do not need to pull the motor to have the block checked.

You can do it in the car just like you would check a head for warp.

If you do not have a a machinist straight edge, use a non-abused, or new 1/2 drive extention about 20 inches long.

I would think the head would warp before the block. If the head is straight I would look into other issues. Just pull the head and have it checked, it isn't much work and you can do it with the motor still in.
