is my block warped?

i have a oil leak. i replaced the oil filter bracket gasket and valve cover gasket. i also replaced the head gasket and had the head re surfaced. i still have a leak on the timing side of the motor. The leak is from the head gasket and down. im thinking the block is warped. how likely is it that my block is warped?

p.s. i had arp head studs. do you torque those down the same ft lbs as stock bolts?


p.s.s i would also like to add that there was a little bit of oil in my coolant last ngiht when i checked. this is why im thinking my block is warped. i want to fix this before it gets worse and i have to have everything flushed..... again....

I didn't see anything about replacing the oil pump gasket. You should've replaced that as well.

If you use ARP's moly lube they supply with their studs, they should be torqued to 80 ft/lbs. If you use conventional motor oil (30wt) to lube the studs, they need to be torqued to 120 ft/lbs. Be sure to torque the nuts in the proper tightening pattern (Haynes', Chilton's, and the FSM have the pattern) and that you tighten them down in at least three steps. Just to be safe with my head install, I did it at 20 ft/lb increments.

Im running mobel 1 synthetic 10w-30 in it. what do you think i should torque those down to since im using the arp studs?
