I need some help figuring out if I got a cracked/warp head or block. I recently did a mls head gasket when I did my 6 bolt head swap about 1500 miles ago. one day after being parked for a week the cooling system just started to build pressure and breaking every weak hose. I am positive that everything else is working perfect and my system is being pressurized from the cylinders. #1 spark plug was coated orange and the others were regular color. My compression in #1 didn't go down it actually went up about 15 psi. I am hoping that its just a incorrect install on the head gasket. everyone feel free to voice your opinons.

yeah I didn't deck the block or the head (stupid mistake) because both were out of perfectly running cars. I also used a ebay mls but it was pretty good looking though.

is it possible for the turbo to be cracked and the reason for the extra pressure in the cooling system?

Decking the head/block is crap. I always just put a straight edge on each like a metal yard stick. If I can see a major gap in it, yes I will get it decked otherwise your gasket will make up for minor imperfections. If your that worried about it get a can of copper coat spray and coat the head and block before putting the head gasket on. Did you resuse the stock stretch bolts? What did you torque the head to?

You need to rent a cooling system pressure tester from autozone. It twists on to where your radiator cap goes and you can pressurize it to see where the leak is. It may just be a faulty radiator cap or thermostat.

I used copper spray with my mls gasket (big no no) and arp studs tq to 115 ft-lbs with oil. also switch back to my stock radiator cap because the upgraded one held too much pressure. Also when I bleed my system I will constantly get small air bubbles. nothing crazy but they just wont completely stop because somewhere is pushing coolant. what are the chances of a cracked block though?

ok so I realized that I had no thermostat so I put in a 180 with a new radiator cap. Then I tried to burp the system and I got coolant shooting all over everywhere from the water neck. Ok then I went to go check the heat and I got no heat at all. coolant is filled but no heat. Gonna go check and see it the temperature door is opening first. But could a clogged heater core be causing all this trouble?
