My friend has a 91 Talon Awd and he hammered it out of a Kmart parking lot and a weird noise was heard out of the exhaust just like a Woosh, and then it started to smoke white smoke (anti-freeze) so i figured we would do the head gasket and go from there. Well that didnt fix it, and i somewhat inspected the block and head and didnt see any noticeable cracks in the combustion chamber. Is there anyway that the turbo could be putting water into the exhasut? Also the thing doesnt miss when its smoking like a banshee which i think that it should if its in the combustion chamber. Thanks for all the help. :)

I have a 92 tsi AWD and it has a cracked exhaust housing, and the car was building pressure in the radiator and blowing all the water out like a bad head gasket would do, but to find out, the turbo when under boost would put pressure in the water line to the turbo building pressure in the cooling system pushing the water out. I found this out by hooking a AEM stand alone up and cuting the boost off, after that no problem. But it had no smoke or water in the exhaust.

I understand that but its not pressurizing the radiator its just blowin white smoke out of the exhaust, and is there a way the turbo water can leak into the exhaust? I thought the seal was just for oil?
