I have looked and never seen anyone bring this issue up so I ask:

I'm doing a mini wire tuck on my '90 GSR-4 and was wondering if I can cut out the wires for the factory O2 sensor. I'll be installing a LC-1 wideband at the same time so I don't feel the need to have the wiring running accross my engine bay.

The wire that really worries me about cutting is the one that goes from the O2 sensor plug to the noise filter; if I cut that, will I lose my tach?

Thanks.

Anyone?

How come no one has even viewed this?

Yes, you can remove it. Just be aware that the noise filter also goes to the knock sensor so make sure you only remove the part for the o2 sensor. I did the same thing a while back when I setup my wideband for narrowband simulation.

You can also remove the o2 check connector, which is a single black wire which runs into the cab on the passenger side.

Great thanks so much!! :applause:

I'm just doing the part of the harness that wraps the intake manifold to get rid of that ugly wiring accross the top.

I actually have looked at that but compelety forgot about it.

Again, you've done a wonderful job :thumb: but I won't be going quite as extreme as I won't be removing the harness from the car but I will follow what I can from your writeup.

The future plan is to take the complete harness from my parts car, re-do it, and swap it in, but who knows when that'll happen...

Thanks again! :applause:
