I will be turboing my NT over the next year or so. Right now my stock clutch is on the fritz and a small grind in 2nd. I have to make a decision on whether to buy a cheap turbo transmission, have it rebuilt and swap in a turbo clutch and flywheel and then when I finally turbo I wont have to worry about it later. My question is, does this seem like a good idea, will the loss in low end power be significantly noticeable because of the differences in the gear ratios? Do you guys think it's worth it or should I just buy a new stock clutch and wait?

You already need a new clutch and are having the usual second gear grind issues that 1gs normally get so it is the perfect time to justify swapping to the turbo transmission. And there isnt a significant diference in the gear ratios between the two transmissions so you wont hardly notice the diference between the both of them.

If you look the gear ratios numbers are quite close. The biggest diference is first but even then its minimal. If you have the money to be able to go with the transmission swap now than I would do it. :thumb:
