Alright, I have no fuel pressure in my fuel line. I have been trying to figure out why this is. I have checked the battery, it was bad (optima that was only 3 months old). Replaced that. When I turn on the key, with the walbro 255 rewire which i am running, is saposed to read fuel pressure in the line, is this right?
I checked the fuse on the massive guage wire running to it and its fine. I replaced the 12v rewire relay with one i found laying around (had some corrosion on the terminals though, but i cleaned it up) and nothing changed. The car is turning over but isnt getting fuel. Im thinking that there was a major electrical mess up when my optima decided to take a crap. Everything else in my car is getting power such as the guages, cd player, scanmaster ect. There is a small crack in the exhaust manifold but that isnt related i dont think. Also it idled really eratically jumping up and down in a rhythem. The previous owner couldn't figure it out.
Can anyone tell me how to check voltages going to the pump with the rewire installed? Do you think that this could be the ECU or the MAFT? I hope not, but i have a parts car out at a friends house. Is a ECU from a 90 gs-t interchangable with a 92 tsi awd? What i really want to do is to test if the fuel pump is still working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

First off you should get a voltmeter and the wire going to the pump that you rewired (just touch the + probe to the wire and - probe to the frame) If not, fuses, bad wiring, ECU + bigger probs. If it is getting power, check your wiring and new solenoid that you put in w/the rewire and make sure all of those wires are going to the appropriate places. IF thats all set look at your pump. Good luck

first of all did the car run with the rewire in it b4? but all in all go back to your pump take off the power wire run a jumper wire from your battery te whole way back to the back hook it to the power on the pump if you haer it run its fine not your pump.....
r you getting any fuel at all r your plugs wet?..............
check the fuel pressure regulator might even be some clogged injectors

With the ignition key in the start position (cranking) you should have 12v on the wire that used to go to the fuel pump and it should trigger the relay. You should always have 12v on the new wire from the battery to the relay.

The '90 GS-t ECU will work if you swap pins 6 and 14 on the ECU connector. But that's not required just to test this part, not that I would put somebodys good ECU in a questionable car until I'd done some serious troubleshooting to make sure it won't fry it. I don't even put other ECU's in my car until they have been checked out on the bench.

The fuel pump circuit is not very complex. Look at the wiring diagram and you should be able to figure out where the key points are to diagnose the problem.
