Normal Oil Pressure At Idle?

Hey guys, I was wondering is this normal oil pressure at idle? This pic is after a cold start this morning and when its at operating temps. It looked kind of low to me because it does sometimes burn oil every now and then during cold starts. Could it be that over time it burnt the oil and now its low? My dipstick reads normal level so I just wanted to be sure.

I wanted to add that once I start driving, like cruising on the highway at 3k rpm my pressure reads around halfway.

If your dipstick level in normal then you are fine. That gauge isn't worth crap other than showing if you have pressure or not assuming you have a working sensor and the wiring to it is fine. Mine doesn't even work.

Lol I was getting worried because at times it shows a bit higher at idle and sometimes its fairly low. I read somewhere on here if the pressure falls too low the motor is being starved of oil and can cause major issues?

My 1g does the same thing. Execpt when I first start it my pressure is fine, but after driving some, at idle it drops really low. But after driving again, or if I rev my engine, it goes back to normal.

And that's why you invest in an accurate oil pressure gauge.

I just installed a autometer electric oil pressure gage and my pressure is showing over 100psi at times. What type of pressure would cause damage?

Did you port the OFH when you deleted the balance shafts? I wouldn't like seeing over 100 psi personally. Max I'd like to see is 80-90 psi, and maybe spiking to 100.

No the OFH is not ported. Would I use a 7-bolt OFH on a 1g 7bolt?

Port it. Yes, or if you want to run an external oil cooler, use an Evo 3/8/9 OFH.
