whats normal oil pressure numbers in PSI for a 97 Talon tsi awd ?

thanks guys... just looking for some quick solid numbers

It's going to vary depending where you measure from to. The head will be a bit lower than the ofh because of pressure lost across the filter. At idle I have 10-15 difference. I get around 4psi off the head fully warmed up on 10-30 and no balance shafts.

400 and 600 are too low, your bearings will starve from oil and eventually you'll end up with spun bearings..

You have no proof of this what-so-ever.

Regaurdless to what many people beleive, majority of the engine oil pressure comes from proper bearing tolerances. Good oil pressure comes from havin good bearings.

Yes other factors come in to play, oil weight, outside temp, is this cold start or fully warm?, gauge type and location (mechanical vs's electric)

Yes the dumby light pops off at 5psi

Yes Holset turbos require more than that

MY car idles under 1000 always in the 800-900 zone, fully warm, with 10-30 oil, mechanical gauge tapped at the oil filter housing I see about 15-18psi at idle. Im very comfy with this
