OK i know that there are no oil squirters in the block, but what I'm trying to find out if this block would be a good chose for a stroker motor? because i hear that you need to take the oil squirters out so if i use a block that didn't come with it, it shouldn't make a difference...

You'll be fine with the block if it's the 4g63 block. I would keep the squirters in personally as every little bit of cooling on the pistons helps out IMO.

It's fine to not use oil squirters if you have forged internals. I was just saying that having oil squirters IMO is a good thing overall. The NT block doesnt' have the provisions and I believe it's because they don't see the same heat levels as turbo cars. Either going with a NT or turbo block, you'll be fine.

Keep the squirters!!! They say that with forged internals you don't need them...BUT YOU DO!!!! Personal experience right here. A certain, Suppossed DSM shop said it doesn't matter to have them. ONE trip through the traps and the motor was finished. You NEED to have oil under the piston, not only for cooling but for lubrication of the wrist pins, and cylinder walls. When you assemble the stroker motor, you will need to move the squirter a bit. I have the mahle stroker 9.5:1 pistons. the difference with these as compared to other stroker pistons, is that the pin doesn't extend into the oil scraper ring land. If you have a piston where the pin bore protrudes in to the oilring land, you'll have to make more room since the piston sits further down the rod then the Mahle's. Just take your time and triple check your clearances. And remember....Things stretch!!! Just because it looks clear statically, dynamically, with heat and stress, it may not be.....and you'll find your squirter's in the pan.

Good luck!!:thumb:

And my problem motor was a non turbo block. Any decent machine shop should be able to drill and tap the provisions the block has for the squirters. DO IT!!! Don't make the same mistake I did!!!

Oil squirters are the last thing you need, in a 7-bolt they are your worst enemy, and in a 6-bolt they are very prone to FALL out. My car has N/T 6-bolt with stock turbo internals, and i can show you members with complete n/t blocks that make 400+whp on oem n/t 6-bolt internals.

I was just explaining my experience with them. you also mentioned stock internals. Are these also stroked motors, as the OP's is? Just curious.

My .02 cents.

Don't worry about the oil squirter's. Build a good motor with your N/T block and have fun.

All oem 2.0 internals. Dont get me wrong(no offense) but your experience had NOTHING to do with oil squirters. :thumb:

IMHO the reason as to why turbo 4g63's come with them is because of how rich our cars run STOCK. Mitsubishi didnt want ANYTHING breaking, so they tuned our cars massively rich and put oil squirters to prevent the cylinder walls/pistons rings to preven from suddenly starving of oil.

Gee...I'm glad I get a thumbsup. not really sure why, but whatever. Good luck OP!

What da heck!! n/t blocks dont come with oil squirters,op said he got a n/t block

I built a non turbo 3000gt block with cast turbo pistons and stock rods, the car trapped 117 at 26 psi in an almost 4000 lb car. I would take the car to the track and hot lap it all night, probably had 100+ passes, it is still running today, with a new owner. I did run e-85, so my piston temps were lower.

The saying goes forged internals don't need squirters.

In all honestly, regardless of what you hear about squirters falling off, they server a purpose of cooling and lubricating the piston. Extra cooling results in lower surface temps. which = lower counts of knocks or chance of detonation. If you are concerned, just get new hardware and install properly. I have forged internals and am using squirters.
