Hi, I'm new here and I've been searching for a while but it's impossible to find a non-abs proportioning valve and its even harder to find one in my part of Canada.

I'm on a bit of a budget but I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a replacement of any sort for a 1gb TSi AWD model that will work. I've thought about trying a 2g proportioning valve or one from a different make and model all together but I'm new to DSMs and even mechanics altogether and I'm extremely unsure about what I'm doing LOL.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated

Recommend you post a wanted ad in the classifieds section. If you are new to mechanics, why do you want to replace the valve?

I originally needed to replace my wheel studs. The easiest way to get access to them was to cut the abs rings off altogether, so I figured "why not do an abs delete?" I've heard the system isn't the greatest anyway. I might list a wanted ad for one, but I don't like to trust people with used parts that have a 50/50 chance of actually working. this post was more or less asking if anyone has found or used a non-abs proportioning valve from a different vehicle like a 2g or one similar enough to the 1g that has worked for them. The reason why I'm trying to find a solution instead of just cutting my losses from the get go and just keep the abs is because there are probably some people out there that are either in a similar situation or just want to get rid of the abs for other reasons but can't because they don't have access to an aftermarket option
