noisy belt??? helpp!!!

hey i just replaced my crank pulley and now i seem to have a noisy belt, sometimes the noise will go away then come back, and when its squealing i can smell the belt burning, the belt is tight so im confused
any imput???

I would check to make sure that you've got all the other belts tight enough. Just to be sure.

i dont have the ac hooked up so its only two belts the one from the crank to alt and waterpump and the one from the waterpump to power steering and they are both tight

maybe check if the belts are rubbing on the timing belt cover, i have had this happen a few times.

Ive had it where the belt melts the plastic and it quiets down but when the plastic cool's down and i start the car again it makes noise. Its just an idea....

could be a poss thanx ill check that out in the morrning , would that make a squeling??

Squeeling comes from a loose belt I'm pretty sure
