Calgary,
I bought this 95 Talon Tsi AWD a few months ago. The previous owner put some coilovers on it, which is cool.
I've never driven a car with coilovers before this one. There is a LOT of knocking going on. It even knocks when I just take off. Is this just a normal characteristic of coilovers?? Do all you guys have this? It feels like they are loose or something.

Thanks for your input.

No, the springs are probably too short and are coming off of their perch when you hit bumps and the suspension droops. The noise is usually the spring reseating.
Some noise is to be expected but most coilover kits are rubbish.
What kit is it?

The ride is pretty stiff, doesn't feel like it's drooping at all. Maybe I'm just not sure what you mean by that.
I have no idea what kit it is, I should have asked. Is there a label or something I can check? Which kits do you find are the crappy ones? maybe thats whats on there. Thanks for your input.

I had cheap coilovers at one time and i know the noise your speaking of. Mine used to make a loud click from the springs reseating, I absolutely hated them.
