Noise from the starter

Since I installed the 4G64 short block, I always get a noise from the starter when starting the car. It is a metallic scraping sound from the starter and flywheel. As I know, the short block is approx 6mm taller that the 4G63 short block. I am using the ACT flywheel. Is there another flywheel that I can use or do I have to just put up with the noise? Thanks.

I don't know what tranny your using but this might help.

The teeth on the M/T galant starter are longer than the teeth on the A/T one. This could cause the noise problem. I think the same thing applies for the T/E/L starters.
