I have a 2000 eclipse gs with the 4g64. Its recently had a head gasket replacement, head swap, trans swap, timing belt replacement.after I got it running though somewhat rough it was alright.i took it for a couple test drives nothing to rough on it though. Then I replaced the oil and spark plugs at the same time and also put a short ram intake on it. Started it up ran as normal a little rough.so I took it out for a test drive and it died about 400ft away at the stop sign.so I finally got it to start again and drove it to my driveway and it died as I pulled in. Gave me engine code p0335.and wouldn't start at all.so this weekend I replaced the crank positioning sensor which was what the code was for. Tried to start and it still doesn't and the code is back.when I try to start it I hear it crank very slowly so it may be the battery but iv tried jumping and using an industrial car starter both didnt work. Also there is a ground wire that is melting it's the thickest black wire in the harness and grounds to my head by the cam sensor.it melts wen I try to start it.any help and advice is much appreciated and let me know if you need more info.

Sounds like you have a massive short, likely in your starting circuit. Make sure everything is connected properly; you could have bumped something loose or mis-connected a wire at some point recently. Trying to start it when you have a large short can wreak havoc on the rest of your wiring and your FI.

Oh I forgot to mention I swapped the starter and starter wires ill check those out too. But when I was using that car starter it was cranking fast just not turning over
