4g63t won't turn over

Today I went and looked and a 2nd gen talon tsi for sale. It's a project car, he had the valve cover and exhaust manifold off and the plugs out . He said when he got the car the engine was seized. After he had that off it would turn over and leaked oil out the exhaust side on one hole. He let it sit for 2 years and today when I was looking at it we could not get it to turn over again, but the starter will not engage. We tried to push it in gear and nothing, still won't turn over. Any ideas what might be wrong? If the motor is good or bad? Any popular problems similar to this?

Your kidding right?
I would guess the motor is definitely not good with oil pouring out an exhaust port.

And did you try to push start with no manifold or valve cover?

He tells you it was seized, took plugs and manifold and valve cover off and it was un seized with oil pouring out of one exhaust port, granted MAYBE someone put oil or atf to get rings to un seize but idk what kind of lucky deal you though you might get but id look elsewhere

Do not buy it expecting to fix anything
You will be pulling motor and you will be rebuilding, and since you registered to ask if you should buy a car with previously seized motor that wouldn't start, you'd be better off buying a nicely kept stock car

If it sat for 2 years with no spark plugs in it. It is possible the rings have stuck to the cylinder walls. Try putting some penetrating oil in spark plug holes let it sit for a while and try rolling over again by hand.. there is a socket wrench spot on crank pully. Thats bout all i know to do but im no expert

I agree with jared if you dont wanna do a whole motor swap ar rebuild id look at another car
