2G no taillights, interior lights...help

I am having nightmare electrical issues. Right before pulling my engine..i noticed the interior/tail lights would flicker on and off, by themselves..even if i was out of the car. It got to the point where I would have to pull the relay to shut them off. Now that the car has the new engine, I am trying to trouble shoot the problem.
So far, I have checked fuses, relays and pulled the dash to see visibally all of the wiring. I have swapped dimmer switches and the actual parking/headlight stick with new, working components. I still have nothing. Does anyone have the schematics of the tailight circuit? I cant figure this out and its pissing me off.
Note..i have working brake lights, turn signals and headlights. I am also have intermittent headlight beeper alarm and courtesy light..they both will randomly come on.

Have you try looking into the door jam switch? That sounds like your problem.

Door jam switch has not been checked...would that effect the parking lights?

its funny: I was going to post nearly this exact thread. Ever since Ive had my 2g, the tail lights would flicker when the brake pedal was pressed and ONLY the interior lights ON. When the headlights were on, however, I got solid running tails and solid brake lights. Recently, my interior lights started flickering and seemingly over bumps or during vibration. Now I have no interior lights and my brake lights flicker for 3 sec and then come on solid as the would before without the headlights being on. I know my door jam switches dont work. They never have so I might try those. I also checked fuses. I thought it might be a grounding issue but my bat to chassis ground is good. Other electrical issues are that at highway speeds my coolant temp needle bounces and I have low voltage during idle.

As of now..I am ripping the car apart, piece by piece, till I find out the issue. I have the entire dash gutted and the radiator removed as well to check the harness. My next step is to remove the bumper and follow the harness from the bay to the cabin...i gotta find a short somewhere....

Everything under the hood and dash checked out ok. Moving to the trunk now.

Mine too. Checked the trunk...tails and wiring checked good. Last place for me to check is behind the front bumper...checking headlights (again) and side markers.

I just don't see how your head lights would cause your interior lights to go... Have you relocated your battery?

I got both door switches working, still no luck. I also checked my driver side ground by the hl.

No i did not relocate my battery..its not a track car. You should read up on the cars circuitry. The blinkers (in the headlights), bumper lights, dash lights and taillights are all on the same circuit..hence why i would need to check the headlights. Door switches have nothing to do with this circuit fyi.

After countless hours of searching im pleased to say this is fixed. Ended up being the tiniest brake in the green/white power wire, in the harness located in front of the radiator. Im writing up a thread of how to quickly diagnose and locate issues with this circuit....tails, interior, buzzer ect. Hopefully I can save someone the 20 hours i invested in this little problem.
