My problem,
I have a 93 Talon Tsi Awd.
I just recently had a new engine installed (650 miles ago.)
I have not had any problems untill yesterday. I was drving home from work I left off of the acc. Suddenly my Rpms dropped to 0.
I pulled off to the side of the road and the car shut off before I got stopped.
Had the car towed home. Have been trying to figure out what is wrong.
Things I have done:
Checked for fuel. I have fuel going to the rail.
Checked for spark. (No Spark) on any cylinder.
Checked connections to the coil pack. (Had a friend bring his coil packs over, still no luck.)
Went to Advance and picked up an Ignition Control Module. (No Luck.)
Tried my friends CAS. (No Luck.)
Checked ECU. (Looked alright to me, No leaking and No burnt smell.)
Also replaced plugs and wires.
I am going to do some testing to the coils to make sure both of ours were not bad. Just in case.
I have been reading VFAQ's and other posts. I am just not sure what I could be missing or over looking.
(Also checked for compression.) Dont have the numbers but I can redo if it is needed!
Anybody have any ideas?
If any other information is needed I can try to get it ASAP!
Thanks in advance! Alex

Just wanted to add the car cranks over. It just does not start.

Yes check the ground. I had the same problem and it was the ground from the battery

2nd or 3rd that, I had the same issue with mine. They way i figured that out was hooking a jumper cable to the negative batt terminal and the other end to the turbo manifold. It started right up, voltage was a little shaky but i got the feel it was the ground wire.

What was the resolution on this issue?
I have a 90 TSI doing the same thing.

What was the resolution to this issue?
If any?

I have a 90 TSI doing the same thing.

The issue was my ECU.
There were two small burn spots on the backside.
I did not notice them until I removed the ecu completely.

It was the biggest PITA. I spent about a week looking for bad grounds and wires.
It felt like I tried everything.
If you need any help just let me know.
I will try my best to answer any questions!

Good Luck! :thumb:
