no rpm on cluster??

I'm getting no rpms or rpms will be jumping around then stop working on my 1g cluster I'm not sure wut to look for to fix this..Some opinions please.. Thanks

The tach uses the signal from the power transistor, check the wires there if they look good try another cluster or PTM.

Power transistor is the little box next to the ecu??

no thats the mpi/mfi fuel relay.

as you see its bolted to the intake on the driver side under the coil pack.

If the car is running good, its more likely to be the gauge cluster itself or a wire in the dash. You should be able to get one fairly cheap.

This problem was actually on a 90gsx and I tryed a 91 cluster on the car whick was a fail.. I'm going to try a 90 cluster this week
