No reverse

I recently acquired another 92 AWD, which I finally got running last night. The only problem I have now is that there is no reverse. The trans. goes into reverse fine, but when I release the clutch pedal, it is like I am against a wall, the car just wants to stall the farther I let the pedal out. There is no drivetrain power at all in that gear,( no power going to the front or rear diffs, reason I say this is b/c, there is no sag of the body or movement of any kind even with me revving engine ~2500 rpms and relasing the pedal ). To me it feels like it is "locked up ???" in the trans. Can this be a simple linkage adjustment or are my reverse gear shot. BTW the other gears 1-5 are perfect(thank god). Thanks for your time

Friend of mine had the same problem with is tranny.
He toke it back to the person who he got it from and got him self a nother tranny . Since they are friends the bad tranny was taken appart and no one could see what was wrong with it .
I think the reason that nothing was vissible to what was causing the problem is maybe 1st was also geting engaged when Rev was engaged .

If you don't know anyone that is good with DSM trannys , Just look for a nother one , cause there is somethign wrong with it , and it may be something really stupid .

Personaly I did not saw that tranny , So i can't tell you what is wrong with it , But it must be engaging a nother gear at the same time as rev.
