So I don't know much about this car, it is a 95 awd with a manual tranny. I got it cheap because the kid thought the transfer case was cracked, which it wasn't - the tranny itself was cracked on the side where the transfer case hooks up.
Anyways, when I first got it, I puttered it around a little and it drove ok, the tranny seemed fine. So I parked it, pulled the tranny and got it welded, put it back in, and thought I'd be good to go.
Well, first off, now the clutch pedal goes to the floor when I try and start it. I have bled it twice now, and it will work a while, but then I go out the next day and it goes to the floor again. Master cylinder isn't leaking and I can't see any other leaks or loss of fluid in the reservoir (except when I bleed of course)
Ok, when the clutch is bled well enough to drive, the car has no power, just feels like the brakes are dragging or something like that. Almost feels like a slipping clutch, but there is always 'some' power getting to the wheels.
And when I go in reverse either the tranny or something else makes alot of noise.
Any ideas?
Also, I have never adjusted slave or master rods, I do not smell clutch at all, and I just filled the tranny with fresh fluid.
Bled the clutch for the third time tonight and still no change. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? I don't smell burning clutch, it shifts in and out of gears fine, but just feels like the clutch is constantly slipping. I can start going and punch it, the revs will shoot up but I will still be creeping along.
