*No Boost, Turbo Howling, and about 50hp*

90 awd. my turbo won't boost, my turbo sounds like an ambulance, and it is very slow. is it safe to say my turbo is shot?

Welp, there's good and bad news. I'll start with the bad news.

Bad: I'm inclined to think your turbo is indeed at the end of its ropes. A similiar thing happened to my friend's turbo on his TSI. He solved the problem by stealing a 14b off a 1g dsm at the junkyard. Ever since doing this, his car seems to pull a lot better than before and the problem dissapeared.

Good: now you have the perfect excuse to buy an even bigger turbo! Or steal a 14b from the junkyard

ummm why dont we check for a BOOST LEAK before we go assuming the turbo's dead? a really bad boost leak would cause odd turbo noises (when the gasket between my BOV and intercooler pipe went it sounded like a dying bird when the turbo spooled.
