now...nitro is obviously hard on the engine...my millage is 163K...and i want to squeeze a little more power outta her. will a 50wet shot of nitrous eat the shit outta my pistons or is there something else that i should get and what are the odds of pushing my engine to 200K...is that a rare thing to happen...

Compression Check is what determines the state of the engine ... You could have a car with 7500 miles and the engine is shot and have a car w. 163k miles and the engine is running perfectly fine- if you have a good result that then you should be able to push a small wet shot fine.

You will want to go w/ a few before you place nitrous into your engine. First of all you will want one range colder copper plugs (i used ngk). You will want to have your i/h/e done & you might want to consider an upgraded fuel pump. This should get you started - do some more research and You should be able to find all the answers to your questions.

Oh, and you might want to post in the correct section ;)

ide lay off the nitrous untill you have replaced some internal parts, 1 over spray can kill your motor, oh yea look into getting a really good and expensive headgasket :)

Do a compression test. If your over 180 across the board I'd say do a 35-45 dry shot. I'm not a huge fan of nitrous... seen to many engines blow from it. GSGoinFast has spray, and uses it ofter I hear. Get his opinion... cause he always has one :thumb: your the man Chris

He dosen't use it anymore - he's turbo now...I got it at the same time as him - i ran it w/ no problems....I stopped spraying now b/c i as well am going turbo...

Nitrous won't kill engine w/ one spray if it is good condition ... Stupid people kill it w/ one spray...If he has a good compression test - changes his plugs & wires, has some basic mods & upgrades his fuel pump I see no prob w/ running a WET shot - especially the zex kit as it has a built in device that only allows you to spray at WOT & stops if it sees something wrong.

dry is safer than wet.... or so I've heard. I am by no means a nitrous expert, so sorry if I'm wrong

ROFL it was nice, worked the way it should. if your engine is healthy then do it. but you will be very dissapointed with a 35 shot and even a 50 shot. i was dissapointed with a 55 shot... 75 shot was real nice tho, i just wanted the power all the time sooo boost it was.
