newbie need help

hello i just got a 2000 eclipse gs 2.4 5 speed im new to these cars.anyway my problem is that the coil pack burnt up i replaced it and now i get no fire i have replaced the crank sensor and cam sensor im thinking it is the ecu but not sure. could anyone help me try to track the problem ###.

Search online to find a diagnostic flow chart for a no spark diag.

Its possible that when your coil fired it pulled extra current through the wires. Check power, ground and signal wires.

Well firstly your car isnt a DSM...

He did say he was new. But yeah, you have a third gen. There are some 3g sites and I think you would have better luck finding info there. No disrespect intended.

And a DSM is any Plymouth Laser (1990-1994), Eagle Talon (1990-1997), or Mitsubishi Eclispe (1990-1999)

The only thin I like about the 3g is the interior and chicks are drawn to them. I liked mine =)

For searching purposes, if you go to DSMtuners (yes, this site) and actually read the front page it explains what a DSM is.

Enough with the flaming guys. There's no need for it. Either offer some help, give him another site to check out (i.e. Club3g), or don't post at all.

Use an ohm meter to check that you have 12v+ going to the coil wire connector while cranking the engine. If you have ruled out the other sensors in the ignition path you might double check the timing belt.. If it is broken or jumped time you wont get fire good sir.
