I know this is a newb question, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I can't seem to find full details about this. Have a 1990 Laser Turbo. I have put a boost controller, K&N filter with dejontool intake pipe, removed the valve cover vent and put a breather on. I'll also be upgrading the manifold with a tubular one soon. I currently have a 14b turbo, but I'm planning on upgrading to a 16g.

I purchased a 1990 eprom that is chipped for 650cc injectors and 1g maft. I was wondering what all I'll have to upgrade for 650 injectors to work. Will I need a bigger fuel pump and a fuel regulator? A different fuel rail? Basically, if there is a lot of work involved I may just get a chip for my setup and run that until I get all the new parts I need.

The ecu was only $250. Seems like a great price. If it has a chip for 650 injectors, that means its been socketed doesn't it? Would I be able to plug dsm link into it?

Sorry about the plethora of questions all at once. I just really need some clarification.

1. Yes you could use dsmlink on it.
2. You don't need anything else to use 650s, but you couldn't use them to their potential without a bigger fuel pump.
3. To use that ecu you'll have to get a gm maf, because it's not programmed for the stock maf.
4. It would be easier to keep the ecu you have in there now until you upgrade injectors, then either get a chip or dsmlink.

thanks for the help. I didn't know if I could use the injectors with my stock pump. Will it put any extra wear and tear on my pump and injectors if I don't upgrade the pump?

No they won't put any extra wear on your fuel pump. They just won't help at all, it's said that you can max out your fuel pump with the stock 450s.
