Ok, this maybe a long post, and there maybe others like it, but I didn't see in search results, if so please link me to it.

I have a 1997 GS-T Spyder, stock, auto.

I will be getting: Boost gauge, Dual MBC, Intake/Filter, BOV, custom exhaust. I have a couple of questions...

What other cheap mods can I do for the t25?

Where should the max boost be set on this setup?

What rpms should I launch (breakboost) at safely?

Being auto, what kind of numbers should I expect from this?

Upgrading to T28, what supporting mods are needed, if any?


I eventually upgrade to a T28, and stick with it. I'm not a high horsepower person, but I want to be sure to crush the honda's and other rice on the road... for sure. I know its a newb post, but its things I would like to know. Thanks.

Other mods to do w/ the t25 can be downpipes; it helped w/ my car a lot and maybe intercooler pipings for better flow. Aftermarket Blow off valves is nice to have when upping the boost, although, the bov and intercooler piping aren't cheap. Max boost on a t25 should be no more than 16psi. If your not looking for hp gains, you could do suspension. With your t28 i would recommend fuel system upgrade and apexi safc to tune it w/ or other tunning devices. With hp, it really depends on the specific car b/c every car will be different.

You should really look into some AT upgrades. I have no personal experience on this matter, but have heard the automatic transmission has room for improvement. Talk to Mike Licht here, he should be able to help.

yes the AT does have room for improvement, check out our AT forum, where the guy from IPT trans posts frequently, I'm sure you can get help there.
