I installed my new turbo and am wondering where's the spool sound? I was expecting something monstrously loud in terms of spoolage...

I went from the T25 with rubber snorkel which sounded like a jet airplane

TO

a Bullseye 50Trim with a 4" FP intake, and it's dead silent once boost kicks in...

No boost leaks, held 22psi nicely.

Anyone have any ideas?

Some of you guys are confusing spool sound and the sound of the turbo with an open downpipe which is not so much the air but the turbine wheel.

And those suggesting an external gate, that would actually negate what this guy wants. He wants to hear the turbo, not the exhaust gases.

My 50 trim is pretty quiet too but i can definitely hear it spool up if i have the windows and sunroof open. It's pretty sleeper since i run a recirculated 1g bov and no external dumpage :)
