Evo III 16G Turbo Spool Sound

So i've installed an evo III 16g on my first gen, my previous turbo was the 14b. It makes a totally different spool noise though. It's more of a deeper sound mixed with a very very very faint high pitched sound. It's of course very hard to explain in text. Just wondering if anyone else has also experienced this different spooling sound when they switched from their 14b to the evoIII. Thanks!

My Evo 3 is not very loud anymore. I modded some things and changed the K&N out for a much better filtering stock element. It is nowhere near as loud now and the BOV is more quiet when it opens. Its almost like driving around in - mode. WTF

I went from a 14b to an E3 16g in my 1g talon, difference was amazing. And now i am almost done with my 2g 6bolt swap...even though i thought the t-too tiny sounded good i cant wait to hear my new PTE 50 trim/FMIC/Tial gate setup!!

Here's my results:

1g, stock MAF, 14b: dead quiet
1g, stock MAF, small 16g: loud ass jet engine sound
2g, stock MAF, T28: moderately quiet
2g, stock MAF, EVOIII 16g: moderately quiet

how much better is the evo 3 then the 14b? i jus ordered one for my car it should be here soon very curious to how it performs 1,8 turbo style

14B = Virgin
EvoIII16G = Triple-penetration porn star.

I just put a 16G on my 95 AWD and I don't think it really has much of a sound at all. The shop that tuned it said it was tuned for 17 PSI, but for some reason they only set the boost to like 8 PSI, so I haven't got to hear it at high boost.

Odd, I can't hear my turbo at all and I have a very quiet exhaust. I even tried taking my filter off and still didn't get any louder. Must be because it's an ebay piece of garbage.

ya guys a agree the evo III 16g is pertty bad as$ MINE SOUNDS REALLY loud at 16 psi like many others have said sounds like a jet or a deisel
