Alright so I just found out my stock t-25 turbo is going out. Needs replacement soon throwing smoke already. So I figured might as well get something bigger. So I'm thinking of either a 16g or 50trim. Cause these are the 2 I found for sale.
Im pretty stock as of right now. Picking up FMIC, pipeing, bov, cold air intake, and 255 fuel pump this weekend. Now turbo, will a 50trim be too much for this setup or even a 16g. I know I will need bigger injectors soon. I don't want a track car at the moment just a fun DD. I am leaning more on the 50trim cause it takes longer to spool so better gas mileage and being FWD less traction issues down the line aha. So what would be best for me? Im not doing this to be a ricer and slap a big turbo and go fast. I need a new turbo might as well upgrade :p

Here are links to the turbos

greddy complete turbo kit 90 to 99 eclipse

The 7.3 powerstroke has a huge exhaust housing and will not be a direct bolt on turbo. The other two turbos are ebay crap. Look for a t28 thats reasonably priced are a 14b off of a 1g 5 spped car. The 14b will npt be a direct bolt on you will need to do some fab work are order a install kit. The t28 will be a direct bolt on. Pm me if your interested in a T28. Hope this helps.

You will also need a tune if you are upgrading turbo and injectors. What is your plan for that?

As for the turbo, I would get an E316G.
