So i got the my new turbo from ebay instaled today.I went for a good run, boosting 12 psi on a stock bcs, but still smoking. Is this normal for a new turbo? I forgot to clean the ic ,is this why still smoking? Need some help .Thanks

Was it a knock off ebay item? Are all of your return lines tight? Does it smell like coolant in anyway? Sounds to me like a turbo failure via coolant line. Or maybe you didn't use crush washers on your water lines?

There is no leak on all the lines. There was some oil in the ic coz. my old turbo was leaking oil.I hope thats all the problem.

Sounds to me like a coolant leak too. I'd also suggest getting ALL of the oil out of the intercooler as best you can and making sure that's not causing it as well. But then again you'd think it would get to be such a small amount that it would quit on its own after most of the oil dissipated.

Blue smoke = coolant leak, at least on my cousins 1g 14b. Pull the IC and use gas/alcohol and filler er' up, and shake the hell out of it. Do it until it comes out clean, and boom, your IC is clean. Did you use copper crush washers when you installed the water lines etc.? Otherwise that's your leak right there. :ohdamn:

I use the copper washer from my old turbo. It was leaking whene i first put coolant but it's stop whene i tight it more.Do you think that could be the problem?

Recheck everything and Go over tightining everything else and see if you have any thing loose from the lines and see if you have any leaks anywhere.

Blue smoke = burning oil. Sounds like you might have a slightly bent/cracked valve or pistons rings.
My best friend had the exact same problem on his gst. He switched the turbo and the problem was still there, turns out it was 2 badly cracked valves causing the smoke.

Whene I clean the ic before i still had the old turbo, the smoke went away for a while thats why I went and got a new turbo. The car only smoke whene its on idle for a while. Thanks

Blue smoke is oil not coolant as everyone already said.

when was the last time you cleaned your IC? you could have oil build up in there or in the downpipe from the oil turbo to be smoking.

you can visually check for leaks and tell if its leaking on the outside pretty easy.

Make sure all your ic pipes are clan, you can use gas to clean them out. Have you done an oil change recently by the way ?

I just put a new oil on the car. I see some oil in the ic whene i put the licp.I'll clean it up again tomorrow. Thanks A lot again guys.

The car only smokes when its on idle for a while.
Definitely valve seals.

You can drive it the way it is, you're not hurting anything immediately. Eventually the oil will seep down the valve stems where it can burn and stick to the valve's seating area, which will cause the valve to not seal properly.

its burning oil. oil burning will make a bluish smoke. coolant burning will be a white smoke because when water burns it turns into steam/condensate which is white.

I clean up the ic today and the smoke went away,so its just the ic coz there is a lot of oil in it.I drove it to the highway just to check and make sure that the smoke won't come back and it never did. I'll try so seafoam it tonight to clean all the carbon out. Thanks a lot guys.:thumb:
Can i use the seafoam 2 or 3 time in a month?:hmm:

Seafoam will have no negative effect what so ever on your car. If you run it in the oil for a long period of time maybe because it is a oil thinner. But via intake no, it wont. I do it at every oil change.
