I recently purchased a 20g and installed it myself using all new gaskets and such. Well I finally got it together today and got it running and took it for a little spin. I noticed when it makes 10lbs it will make a nice pretty blue cloud of smoke...

Any ideas of what I could check and what it could be?

Blue smoke means you are burning oil somewhere. Black means you are burning fuel and white means you are burning coolant.

So I guess a good think to ask would be....was your car doing this before you purchased your turbo? Was your turbo used? Since the smoke starts after boost, it sounds like a seal could be on its way out.

Yeah sounds like you are burning oil somwhere. Even though it is a new turbo. Are you sure it is blue though? Are you only running 10 lbs. or boost or does it do that when you reach 10. What are your fuel mods and tuning. I have seen cars shoot smoke out that are running way to lean. I did it once when someone messed with my AFC and leaned it way out.

My mom said she was behind me and she siad it was white?? I saw blue..??? But i did notice when It started to spool it sounded like a supercharger??

Its a SBR 2g20g, it has 2000 miles on it. The guy said it was in perfect working condition... but i guess that doesn't mean that it really is... Does anyone know how much it would cost to get it rebuilt? Does SBR still rebuild them or does anyone else know any reputable dealers who rebuild them and roughly how much it'd cost.

In my honest opinion I think 20g's are a waste of time. They don't spool as fast and cost more than most 50trim's. If it was whining then that would be a good sign of the seals going out. Check it for shaft play. If it is whining it either has a restriction and the oil can't get to it or the wheel is hitting the housing. SBR does rebuild them but for what it will cost between the kit and there time your better off to get a new one. Find a nice 50 trim and don't buy something used unless you can visually inspect it first.
