New tune,but missing fuel pump

I had Jeff setup my chip for the evo 9 fuel pump. I am still waiting for the evo 9 pump to get here in the mail, but i was wondering if I should use my stock chip until the pump gets here or will i be fine using the custom chip with the evo 8 pump, till the evo 9 pump gets here. I figure the pump differences couldn't make a huge difference in the tune if I'm just gonna drive it normal and not go crazy till i get the new pump. I need my car tomorrow and I don't really want to have to pull the ecu and swap chips twice if I don't have to. I tried emailing him yesterday but still no response.

What do you guys think ?

There is no "tuning" for a different fuel pump--so long as your base fuel pressure remains stable, and fuel pressure rises 1:1, nothing will change. You would only have to "tune" for fuel pressure when you deviate from 43 psi (for a 2g).

For the time being, if you put the stock chip back in and keep your old SAFC settings then nothing should change.

As long as you don't break ~20psi and cause the pressure relief valve to crack open you should have absolutely no difference between the evo8 and evo9 pumps as far as tuning goes because you're injectors are not large enough to outflow that pump.

Ok so i will be fine just putting my ecu back in with the dsmchip and just drive it easy till i get the new pump in. Thanks guys
