So, I recently picked up a 1990 eclipse gst. Sat for a number of years, so of course, it's full of water and I am in the process now and a full rebuild. Now, I'm more of a 1gb guy myself, so this is quite a change, but my main question is about the engine. All my cars have been 6bolt turbo engines and out of about six engines total that I have (or have previously had) non had oil squirters until I acquired this 1ga. I've been searching and haven't found much literature on the subject so I'm hoping someone will shed light on this for me. Is there advantages to these engines? Should I rebuild and keep running this style or build one of my other block that don't have the squirters?
I'm sorry in advance for being somewhat of a "newb" question. I've been around dsms for some years now and this is my first engine to have these, so naturally I'm curious.
Thanks for any input fellas
