Boring, Oregon
I recently decided to actually try to spend some time and learn how to use link v2.5(rather then spend buckets of money to have somone else do it) which came with my 2g. Ive been working off the tune that the i adopted with the car and wanted to see if i could get some advice or input on my 3rd wot log, im absolutly open to any input and will gladly accept advice, thanks. Also my afr est is off at wot im seeing 10.2 afr on my aem wb.

What boost, plugs, fuel?

Have you thought about getting your coolant temps down? 210*-213* is kind of high to run high boost. You could probably get away with another degree or 2 of timing if you could get it down near 180-190*.

Thanks for the reply, the car is actually pretty much the way I got it so I haven't had a chance to check the plugs out, as for boost I'm at 21lbs and as for fuel I have 780cc inj and a walbro 255... as far as temps go do you advise I just get a cooler temp thermostat?

I meant what octane is your fuel?

If your plugs are BPR6ES then you should switch to 7s.

There's some great info on jeffgst.com, specifically for calibrating a MAS.

If you are running 21 psi and your boostest is about 23.5-23.9 from 5500-6500 then you can pull down your airflow sliders 6-7.5% from the 2000-2400 hz area. Keep in mind that you will be running leaner so watch your WB and knock.

Tuning your car is a balance of timing and AFR. Some people shoot for a specific AFR (10-10.5 on pump) and run more timing. Some shoot for leaner (10.5-11.0) and run less timing. (Maybe even 11.5) Each set up responds different. I think you are a little on the rich side and the timing is a little low since its basically the stock 2G timing curve. Might be all your car wants, but there really isn't any knock in the log. That little blip might not change much if you add a degree, or it could jump up to 2*. Only one way to find out. ;) Don't change AFR & timing at the same time. You won't know which one caused your car to respond (good or bad).

I like to compare 70-90mph acceleration times after I change things and compare to see if the car liked it or not. Use the same stretch of road and relatively the same ambient temp. Right now you are at 2.09 sec from 69.6 to 89.5 in your log.

As for dropping your coolant temps. You can add water wetter, run a 70% mixture of distilled water instead of 50/50, get a lower temp t-stat, build some ducting for your FMIC, look into an Aluminum radiator. I have done all of that and have a 160* Tstat and run at about 165-175* except for mid summer sitting in traffic it gets up to about 185*.

My bad haha, I'm running good old 92 pump gas. Ill def have to check the plugs out, I actually had my timing set to the stock 2g but that blip turned into 2.8 if I remember right. Would I benefit from leaving my timing at -1 where the .4-.7 knock is and add timing before and beyond that until I see knock elsewhere?ill def work on that mas. And timing some more and repost a new log...Thanks for the info, its well apreciated! Its def nice to get input
