New to DSM

Hello all. I am currently starting my DSM journey and I want to learn all I can about the platform. I’ve owned a built Jeep Wrangler, overland style Silverado, vanlife e-350, and a few motorcycles. However, I’ve never owned a sports/ track car. Which lead me to doing a lot of research for the right one and I believe a DSM is a great fit for me. I’ve been searching for a 2g Eclipse gsx. If anyone has any advice or comments please feel free to share.

Welcome. You’re in the right place for advice. One thing to watch out for rust, once you can see it on the top of the strut tower, it’s all ate up on the inside. Rocker panels is another place to inspect. Good luck with your search!

Nicee dude. Well ull love ur decision to come to tuners. Plenty of resources to read. U can post threads with issues or hijack and old thread with the same issue.

It’s been interesting. I was close to getting a gsx from California and having it transported here to Georgia but the owner and I couldn’t agree on the transfer of the funds. It had a blown motor but came with a 6 bolt for the swap. I’m currently talking to a guy who has a gsx with a trans that needs to be rebuilt but other than that it starts. I might be biting off more than I can chew with projects that need extensive expertise to rebuild but that’s exactly what I want. Thank God for this community and YouTube!

If you haven’t heard, parts are becoming harder and harder to get for manual transmissions. If auto isn’t your thing, I get it, it’s not mine either.
