Well i have the shell of a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi, my first goal is to have it safely run 500hp, and have an electronic boost control to be able to tone it down for casual driving. I'm wanting it to be street legal as much as possible ;) haha. Well i was wondering, what all do i need to start getting my hands on? i've gotten a Transmission / Transfer Case / Vicious Rear LSD, and soon a EPROM ECU, once i can find a 4g63t, what should i begin doing to the engine to build it to run a safe 500hp? i was thinking JE Pistons / Eagle Rods / 280 Camshafts / HKS Adjustable Cam Gears / g16 Big Turbo / HKS Sequential BOV / HKS Turbo Back / Evo 9 Fuel Pump / 880 or 1000 cc Injectors / AEM Fuel RAil.... so ya, i'm open to all suggestions, any advice, any tips, btw, not to build myself hate already but i use to be a civic driver so i'm new to the DSM world haha. but i'm pretty anti-civic now

500Hp is not to be taken Lightly. A couple pointers buy a Walbro 255hp pump no need to try to find a evo pump when there already cheap and it will be brand new. It will be hard to make 500hp on pump 93 gas. So you might want to run E85 or race gas or pump and meth, you will need much bigger injectors to accomplish 500hp on E85 then 1000's. A AEM fuel rail will not be needed. You might want to think about running a slightly larger turbo to make your goal a little easier. Eagle rods and JE pistons will be fine the stock crank will also be fine. If you plan on running 280 cams then you will want to look into some springs to support those cams.

There is still a lot to go over to accomplish 500hp but this is a start.

I see that you are very new to DSMTuners and just wanted to say welcome, you will find this website and community to be very helpful :thumb:

Welcome.

Welcome to the forum,

To add to this post I would like to say that once you achieve 500hp your going to have to upgrade the rest of the car like a built transmission, a serious clutch, may need to upgrade axles, and other things associated with the drivetrain.
Try to build the car slow and right, dont go cheap on any parts because you will only regret having to fix it later.
Good luck with your build

HAha, thanks for the link, and ya i don't plan on getting any "cheap" parts, except for mayber interior stuff, i saw sparco seats cost about 600 each... wo. And ya i originally thought of a.. gt37? turbo, but was told that was a little unneccisary so maybe a g20 turbo would be better? question... shoudl i buy an engine, rebuild it and jsut put the car together and make sure it works first? then worry about modding it to the goal hp? ORRRR should i just go for it all at once? thinking about it now... sounds smarter to make sure things work before moving forward LOL

hate to double reply but i kinda had a multi step revalation pop in my head? idk what words to use but anywho

1. Should i just put it together and see if it works and run stock for a little?
2. Should i start by going w/ a stage 1 setup like in the link before going for stage 2 or is it okay to just jump from stock to stage 2?
3. Any suggestions on getting a 4g63t? I've found MANY 4g63 but was told not to start there b/c theres alot of little things different between the two, i saw on a website i can get one for about 1800 used, or NAPA from factory for 2200, but i figured if i'ma build it that might not be necessary?

I would say to start small and work your way up. You are nowhere near ready for 500hp. Start with something like a 16g and then see what you can do from there.

snaps. 500hp. you say likes its nothing. it takes time and patients. Unless you go serious cash laying around and you take it to a shop, but thats no fun. just take your time and don't go cheap buy name brands parts. be safe and have fun ;)

Okay! ya i was talking to a buddy of mine and he works on civics alot and said to beat most the civics i only need 300hp and that'll take care of most mustang gts too haah( around where i live they're the kids that think they're the best!) so those are my.... top two goals to beat haha. if that makes sense, and sorry about the placement of the G haha. i was told a 16g big would last me awhile so i'm thinking mayybeeee shoot for 300+ hp and make that my more reasonable goal? my DD is a 170whp civic si, so i'm shooting to be more exciting than that haha. should i follow the guige in the link for the 300-400hp build? thank you again for feedback and help! and i'm starting to realize how crazy 500hp was sounding =P
