so im getting to the point where my all season tires needs to be replaces its getting to the point im getting paranoid to drive any way i want another set and dont know much about tire brands. i am not sure what mine are haven't really looked yet but when i got the car from a 18 year old kid so i got the car with the tires i have now on it anyways what would be recommended or best quality we are getting in to are wet season and people with better or newer tires dart in front of me while going 65 on a freeway doing a 3 lane switch kinda scares me a bit.... thanks

There are any number of great tires for all weather - picking one as the best is just, in many instances, personal preference. I put Hankooks on a few years ago and have been very happy. They are relatively inexpensive as well

It is not a preference. It is simply taking the time to go through your post and edit it so that you can better communicate your thoughts and ideas with others. It is quite difficult to read your post in its current form. This really doesn't need to be taken any further. Please just fix it.

Ok I can understand that but coming from someone who is not good at grammar and punctuation and all that good stuff wouldn't know how to "fix it" if I could I would. I don't really know any other way to put it. I'm just wanting to know good brand tires that would suit my type of vehicle because I have no idea because this is my first car and only had my license for a year.

I'm having troubles looking for your question. I don't even see a question mark in any of your posts to help me know what your question is.

There is that better for you guys....

I prefer Nittos for my everyday needs. The 450s are decently priced and do a great job for my driving style. Not sure if they make them in the size your current wheels are in though.

I run continental pure contact with eco plus technology, and I love them, great all season tire. However, I don't believe they make them in 14's. Go to tire rack website and shop around for your size. Read as many reviews as you can. I took the information that I got to my local tire shops and shop around for the best price. Actually, I got the tires for almost the same price online as in the shop installed.

you get what you pay for with tires. get some good performance all seasons. Do some research and get the correct speed rating for how you'll be driving.

I sell tires for Sams Club I had the opportunity to test drive some Michelin tires at their home office in south carolina. I fell in love with the Michelin defenders. You may want to look into those. Also the make a sporty one called a pilot sport all season3. Hope that helps

what do you mean by speed rating?
So on a tire you got you

So if you have 14s your tire size is probably 195/70R14 97H the 97H The 97 is your load rating and the H is a speed rating. Speed rating means how well the tire handles at a particular speed. H Is decent for a talon V would be good.

I always used to shop in the $100 tire range ($500 set with mount + balance) and got some decent tires over the years.

But the latest set I went to the $130-$140 range and got some Michelin MXM's (actually found a used set for cheap) and for the first time ever do I really know what they mean when they talk about a tire being responsive! The immediate quickness these tires react to steering input at both low + high speeds is sooooo much better and satisfying that from now on think I'll be paying out the extra $100-$150 per set.

If you're N/T and on a tight budget then disregard this. If not, good tires are worth the money!

Btw just by going 1 size wider on my stock wheels and installing a $40 strut tower bar has completely transformed my dsm! Handling + all around driving is monumentally better!!

+1 Tire rack is a great place to start. You can check out the reviews and they usually have pretty good prices. Me personally, I have run Kumho's for years and have had great results. They have a very good thread wear rating and are comfortable tires that aren't very pricey. Good luck with your search..

Ya I was going to look on that but haven't had time. My mind is all over the place trying to find out how to fix a few thing and tires is one of them, oil leak is another I'm prob going to just get a whole gasket set. I was told to get the hard gasket kind but for got the name. I will have to look through my posts and find it. I found a few on ebay but not just going to settle for any cheap one.

general rt43 are the best tires made right now.
stupid quiet on all surfaces.
ride smooth.
long wearing.
lightweight.
excellent traction/breaking.
AMAZING steering response.
I purchased some 195/55/16 for my summit minivan a week after buying expensive continental pure contacts for my mazda 5. they Smoke the conti's at much cheaper price point.

they have an unusual sidewall that curls in on itself. they had to use high pressure air tubes to expand them onto my 7 inch rims. I bought them specifically because there was a lot of feedback on how well they improved steering. i have never been so happy with a set of tires.

I put uniroyal tiger paw touring (all season with a decent speed rating) on my daily driver(awd) a couple years ago and love them. They used to be regular stock at Walmart back in the day when I worked in the TLE. I sold a bunch of them to customers and they all loved them even over the comparable michelin tire. Uniroyal is part of Michelin btw. The road hazard from Walmart has saved my butt a few times. I just put a set on my wifes aveo and they made a lot of difference in the snow.

Maybe not the best tire but it was convenient and ive been very satisfied.

Alright I'll look in to all thos. Right now I am just wanting good ones so that way when I have to hit my breaks harder than I want to because someone wants to pull a uturn in front of me on the right side of the road going 10 mph. I won't slide across the road about 5 feet be For comeing to a stop this happened to me a few times and is kinda scary. I think right now mine are 175/65r/15 but I'll have to dubble cheak on that.
