so im getting to the point where my all season tires needs to be replaces its getting to the point im getting paranoid to drive any way i want another set and dont know much about tire brands. i am not sure what mine are haven't really looked yet but when i got the car from a 18 year old kid so i got the car with the tires i have now on it anyways what would be recommended or best quality we are getting in to are wet season and people with better or newer tires dart in front of me while going 65 on a freeway doing a 3 lane switch kinda scares me a bit.... thanks

Typically, all-season tires are not optimal for grip during any season. At the very least, consider a separate tire for winter as well as one for summer. Winter tires are usually best used in temperatures less than 50°, while a summer tire is best for temperatures above 50°. Your current rim size would work well for a winter tire as you want something thinner to cut through slush and snow. 185/65/15 would be a good size to use. For summer, find a used set of rims to your liking (16,17 if you want costs lower). A 225-235 would not require modification of the fenders assuming your rim offset is between 35-38. You can now use a summer performance tire to keep grip optimal in summer. You can find used tires on Craigslist to keep costs down, just be sure to check for even wear and date code (I wouldn't buy a tire more than 2 years old).
