NEW slave cylinder?

Well, i was wondering what kind of symptoms are for a crap slave cylinder. I was wondering since i have to pump my clutch a couple times for it to start easier. I have grinding MOSTLY in first gear. Also very hard to get into reverse.

Does it leak? Check the clutch reservoir and see if its full

Also have someone pump the clutch while you check to make sure the fork is moving Left/Right all the way it can

Yes, that was another thing that i thought. How can i fix a clutch that is not disengaging? new clutch?

Either is fine for the clutch.

Look up under your dash and see if your master is leakin on your carpet for one, than go check the slave, pull the rubber boot back and see if it has fluid in it indicating the seal is bad.

also check this link to see if your pedal is adjusted properly and bleed the hell out of the system if all checks out.
