Okay long story made short. . .took the baby to the shop for a :thumb: clutch job (ACT 2100) now i have no pressure on the clutch, guy says its the slave. . .so NOW should i replace the slave and the master too. . .or what? I hope this doesnt mean crank walk I currently have 91,XXX so i think i past the period. BUT please any help be it bad or good is help or advice on what to do. .thanks guys.

First, check to make sure the slave cylinder or any clutch lines aren't leaking. Then check to make sure you have fluid in the resevoir. After that you should at least try bleed the clutch to make sure there's no air in the lines. If you still can't get any pressure, make sure the clutch pedal is adjusted right. Then if that doesn't work you can start thinking about replacing the slave cylinder.

yeah, check the line from the accumulator to the slave. if it blows, it'll feel like a bad slave. it's a $10 part. check to see if there's fluid in the slave boot. if not, it could very well be the line..

You don't need to drop tranny..but you need to drop a few bucks on a flare wrench. After changing my clutch line I'm certain its foolish to try and remove those lines with other than a flair wrench.

Vfaq.com has a write up on replacing the slave cylinder.

If the master isn't leaking I'd leave it. like mentioned by others check your fluid and try to see if you can find a leak.
